You Helped Us Raise $270,000! Thank You!

On June 23 morning, Calgary was showered by rain but Wing Kei was shined by love! Over 1,000 participants proudly showed up at the Chinese Cultural Centre for the 18th annual Wing Kei Walkathon with their bright yellow t-shirts, raising over $270,000 dollars! We would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all our sponsors, dignitaries, volunteers and staff members. THANK YOU to those who came out to support the Walk For Seniors. We are truly inspired by your effort and resilience. Indeed, we walk the walk together!

Visitation from Honourable Sarah Hoffman(Deputy Premier & Minister of Health)

On Friday April 20, 2018, we are delighted to have Honourable Sarah Hoffman (Deputy Premier & Minister of Health) amongst our seniors in Wing Kei Care Centre.  Her warmth has brought sunshine smiles to our residents, while Minister Hoffman soaked herself in the warm welcome from residents, and admired creativity in their art and craftwork. She was impressed with our excellent care, our role in training future professionals, and our vision in growth and supporting aging in place.  Minister Hoffman has a lot of interest in our strategic plan, and also spent time at the Centre Street West Campus site to understand our growth proposal.

Our hope is that when seniors come to Wing Kei, their emotional, spiritual and physical needs are being fulfilled. These are blessed years for the residents, and these years should be filled with peace and joy.
