POSITION SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Community Relations, Fund Development and Events Coordinator, the Administrative Assistant (Fund Development and Events) will assist to organize processes for fundraising activities and submission for grant applications. The incumbent is also responsible to support with the promotion of Wing Kei and its events and projects through all forms of media, assisting various internal departments on communications projects and activities.

THE ROLE
- Demonstrate, promote and advocate the Wing Kei vision, mission and core values
- Support in promoting effective internal and external communications through different forms of media, promptly and accurately
- Be responsible for updating contact and donor databases
- Liaise with the management team and senior administrative coordinators to handle requests and queries from internal and external clients, including sponsors and donors
- Liaise with event volunteers and external groups as directed by the supervisor
- Create invitations cards, gifts and thank you letters in a time sensitive manner
- Prepare materials and participate in meetings & training and take detailed minutes as required
- Assist in preparing grants, funding or event permits applications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in achieving fundraising goals
- Provide general administrative support to the organization
THE INDIVIDUAL WHO WILL SUCCEED
- Is aligned with a culture where people and integrity matters
- Has completed a college diploma or undergraduate degree; completion of a program in a related field (Business, Communications, Event-Planning, Fundraising, etc.) is an asset
- Prior working experience with fund raising events or experience working in not-for-profit organizations is an asset
- Knowledge of database maintenance is an asset
- Excellent command of spoken and written English skills; spoken and written proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Adaptable, spontaneous self-starter while still disciplined in meeting deadlines
- Is able to remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgement and has good prioritization skills
- Is an individual who exhibits high ethical standards and able to handle confidential information
- Has great phone and office etiquette, enjoys building rapport and connecting with a diverse audience
- Has good computer literacy; experience in social media, graphics design, and photo and video editing is an asset
- Thrives in a growing organization, remaining a positive attitude through temporary challenges
- Finds it easy to enjoy a variety of tasks, and is eager to grow and learn
