Working as part of a team reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing a wide range of HR services supporting consistent HR practices, compliance to high standards, and individual wellness within the organization.

 

THE ROLE   

Key Accountabilities

Culture and Policies

  • Demonstrate, promote and advocate the Wing Kei vision, mission and core values
  • Work closely with other HR team members to deliver service with confidentiality, respect and professionalism
  • Ensure a safe, effective and healthy work environment including continuous efforts to support a mutually-respectful and effective work environment
  • Facilitate values-based Employee Relations
  • Assume leadership role in interdepartmental committees and meetings for select events and Human Resources programs such as Employee Recognition
  • Develop, implement, communicate and facilitate day-to-day Human Resources transactions

Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Facilitate full-cycle recruitment of open positions
  • Develop strategies to recruit and retain talent to meet business needs
  • Coordinate and execute onboarding program for new and existing staff
  • Communicate with leadership

Compensation and Benefits

  • Act as first point of contact with regards to policies, compensation and benefits, recruitment inquiries for managers, employees and potential recruits
  • Facilitate in the enrollment and updating of benefits for existing staff
  • Participate in annual compensation review process for employees, including communication, administrative changes, and documentation

HR Metrics and HRIS Maintenance

  • Conduct data entry, analysis, research and reporting as needed for Human Resources programs
  • Coordinate with HR team to ensure accuracy of employee data during audits
  • Assist employees and team members in navigating through systems (E.g. PDS Vista, Workforce Dimensions, etc.)
  • Oversee the updating and inputting of employee data in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)

 

THE INDIVIDUAL WHO WILL SUCCEED

  • Has Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management or equivalent; eager to take on additional certification or studies if required
  • Has 2-5 years of work experience in Human Resources Management with broad generalist experience
  • Has knowledge of employment law and employment standard and is committed to HR best practices
  • Demonstrates capability to understand the business and create the link between HR strategy and business strategy
  • Is an individual who honors confidentiality and exhibits consistent sound judgment
  • Is balanced in the ability to understand “Big Picture” business strategies while managing own work with great attention to detail
  • Is a resourceful problem-solver who consistently delivers effective solutions supported by good root-cause and factual analysis as well as stakeholder buy-in
  • Is eager to grow and learn, willing to be flexible with pace of work
  • Is capable of managing a variety of ongoing tasks, not minding some interruptions
  • Is self-motivated, knows how to set priorities, and disciplined in meeting deadlines
  • Has a proven track record of collaboration and teamwork, experience working with interdepartmental teams or contributing to Special projects would be an asset
  • Has knowledge and experience working with Payroll or a Human Resources specialization (Recruitment, Compensation, Benefits, HR information system, WCB administration, Workplace Safety, etc.) would be an asset
