Assigned tasks may include:

  • Assist in the planning, execution and evaluation of various events during the summer time, including internal events and fundraising events for the Wing Kei Village building project.
  • These events also include the Wing Kei Walkathon, Staff Stampede Party, and the Wing Kei Charity Golf event
  • Create and organize various documents and electronic information for the events, including promotional materials (i.e. on our digital platforms) and planning documents
  • Liaise with various internal departments and external parties, including donors and sponsors.
  • Assists in arranging and participates in meetings and activities regarding the events
  • Provide administrative support to day-to-day operations of the Events team


  • Successful candidates will be in an undergraduate Business Program or Communication studies or equivalent
  • Work experience in a non-profit organization an advantage
  • Experience with MS Office and effective data entry & documentation skills
  • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and work independently in a team setting



  • English
  • Proven effective communication skills in Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin) an asset

This is a Canada Summer Job (CSJ) funded position. To be considered for the position you must meet below criteria to be eligible for funding:

- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment (International students are not eligible)
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
