This song is about a boy lovingly longing for a girl from a distance. The boy is visited by a butterfly, which he believes is the girl’s spirit. As our seniors also lovingly long for their family and friends, the staff at Wing Kei hope to be the butterflies that help to deliver and facilitate messages of love.
Curbside Opera Performance
On May 12, 2020, the residents at Greenview Supportive Living enjoyed a curbside Chinese Opera Performance by volunteer Kristy Lee. Dressed in a beautiful and vibrant traditional blue costume, Kristy danced to the song 窺醉 from the Chinese Opera 蝶影紅梨記. In English it is called The Butterfly and the Red Pear Blossom.
